Hamilton Washington, is a slice of serenity that is tucked away from the bustle of the big cities, and enjoys a rich and interesting history. Hamilton is is fairly close to Canada and to the North Cascade Highway to eastern Washington – and within only 2-3 hours of Seattle’s Mariners and Seahawks stadiums and downtown features. Hamilton Residents enjoy the peaceful life of the Skagit River setting. Residents as well as visitors go to Hamilton to fish, boat, walk the trails, and enjoy the rugged beauty of this unique location.

Hamilton was established in 1872 and incorporated in 1891. The main businesses in Hamilton are a Post Office, Boots Bar and Grill, one RV park and Janicki Industries. The Town Hall and Historic Museum are located in the Historic Slipper House. This building is registered on the National Register of Historic Places. The town has the heart of roughly 294 residents; many of whom are descendants of the original homesteaders that called Hamilton home in the 1800s.
